Silver and Turquoise Board of Hostesses

It is a great honor to serve as chair of the 65th Annual Silver & Turquoise Ball. As I think about the 64 women who have served before me – many of whom are dear friends – I am humbled and inspired by the spirit and leadership that has kept this tradition alive in celebration of our community’s culture and heritage.

The Silver & Turquoise Ball started in 1950 as a pot luck party at the home of Isabella Greenway, the founder of the Arizona Inn, to thank the volunteers of the Tucson Festival Society for their efforts with the Society’s events. The Ball has grown over the years into Tucson’s most beautiful gala, with proceeds going to our current beneficiary – the San Xavier Mission and its restoration. And, our mission remains the same: thanking those who have contributed to our community and celebrating our rich and beautiful culture and heritage.

I look forward to seeing you at the Ball on May 2, 2015!

Barbara Peck
Sincerely,
